On One Short Run

I've been running every day. Even though my route is essentially the same, I see something different each day. Each step takes me closer to someone else's drama. Today I saw:

• A broken down city bus, with the driver checking out the engine.
  
• A man napping on a park bench with a duck waddling underneath.
  
• People making out in the grass.
  
• Two Canada geese getting it on mid-swim.
  
• The first willow leaves of the year.
  
• A girl shrieking "I'm going to fucking kill myself" while two cops tried to calm her down
  

All that in less than two thousand steps.
