Write On
I've been absent from here, but rest assured, I have not stopped writing. I've been busy getting published, even, with selections appearing in several journals and anthologies.
I've learned that many publishers are like those people who pop up on forums typing "First!" They want to be the first eyes on a piece. The only eyes on a piece. They want to be the great explorers, discovering lands no one else has ever seen. Publishing as manifest destiny. Huh. They want this until it is printed. And this means that my poetry shouldn't be shared on my blog. It's unfortunate, because it means that writing, such a solitary process, makes me that much more alone.
I'll just have to make my poetry posts private, and I will trust you not to tattle.
This is my big push, right now: Audible Indigenous Writers' Circle. If I luck out and get accepted, that would be amazing.
