I thought it was about time to clear out some of the interesting imagery I've been collecting.

Here's something I've never seen before: a tattooed Salome. This photo comes from Dresden, Germany and is called "das blaue Weib," or "the blue woman." I don't know the date, photographer, or model.

This French postcard is dated 1907 and shows a topless warrior girl. Her helmet is interesting. I'd like to know where it comes from. I'd also like to see more photos from this series!

Yet another performance with the Ted Shawn Men Dancers. This one dates from the 1930s, and I can't for the life of me dispell the fanciful notion that they're pretending to be Romulans battling it out in an early Star Trek episode.

This photograph of a young Winston Churchill was taken around 1900 by Reginald Haines of 4 Southampton Row, W.C. London. He looked grumpy even then.

I can't quite make out the name on this photo, but it seems to read Nine de Rvenche. I think a letter or two is missing from the last name. Anyhow, this hand-painted photo dates from around 1897-1904. I really like the sleeves on her gown.

Get a load of Messaouda, the serpent charmer. The photo dates from around 1910.

An unidentified British showgirl from around 1904. The photographer is Herbert Watson of Leicester.

A lovely nude dating from the 1920s. Sometimes, all you need to look great are a string of pearls, perfectly-coiffed hair, and a strategically-placed piece of sheer fabric.
