This morning, I received a phone call saying I have not been chosen to be interviewed for a job at the artisan shop downtown. However, I've been told that I can sell stuff there, so at least that's a plus. The handmade stuff which doesn't sell at the workshop may instead sell to tourists over the summer.
Today I have to do the unfun part of vending cool stuff to dancers. I have to do an inventory and pricing of my stock. After a while, glittery scarves, bindis, flowing skirts, fringe-covered bras, and jingly jewellery ceases to become stuff I wish I could keep and instead becomes just another thing that needs to be sorted. When I was a front-end cashier, money stopped being something I wished I could keep, and instead became a noisome substance which left my hands filthy and sore. Funny, that.
So I guess I'd better get to grab my notebook, my price tags, and my suitcases of stuff and get to work, hmm? Oh yes, and I must remember to bring bags....
Tomorrow, Sephira is coming to town. I told her I'd try to sell some of her stuff, since she can't make it to the Jalilah workshop in Saint John. I hope I sell all of her stuff. She needs that noisome money as much as I do.
Oh, and if you have something you want me to sell, you'd better get it to me, pronto!
