(no subject)

I'm wired a little tightly today. My co-workers are irritating me through no fault of their own. One of them is really sick and has a very loud and strident cough. Another is sitting on a chair which squeaks loudly and the sound tears through my head. My teeth are gritted from both sounds. Ack.

I spent the morning doing an ab workout and dance drills. It's good to be back into the swing of things. I'd missed going to the gym (I went yesterday) and doing my regular training. I spent my breaks yesterday going over one of the dance combinations Aziza taught on Sunday, and that's driving me a bit crazy. I simply can't get the footwork right. I keep screwing up somewhere, and ending up with the wrong lead foot. Waugh! I will get this right. I will! Because it's too cool of a combo not to use.

Work started off really busy, but now it's starting to slow down a little. Good. My face is tired from all the talking.

On Friday, I'm leaving for Moncton to go hang out with John and Sephira. I'm hoping to get some dancing in with both of them.

I received an email today which informed me of an upcoming dance gig in Halifax. I'll be dancing with Drums and Machines in October at some point. It will be for the tenth annual Halifax Experimental Music Festival. I can't find anything online about it, yet. f00dave said he'd rig up some electronic motion-activated poi for me to use. I think that would be an interesting addition in line with Drums and Machines' philosophy.

But whatever shall I wear?

I guess I have a while to think about it. Maybe that will be my venue for the costume based on Rambo/Tarzan-type movies.
