Mom picked me up while I was halfway to work and drove me the rest of the way. I guess my grandmother thinks she has cancer of the bladder and/or kidneys. She hasn't been diagnosed yet, but she's had the big C before. Mom says the medicine she's on is making her sick. I would have recommended ganja as an excellent anti-nauseant, but Mom would not have taken that the right way. So instead, I told her live yoghourt may help with the diarrhea. Sigh....

In other news, I want to make a book of leaves. I must remember to collect a bunch this week, while they're still in one piece and in lovely hues. Then I have to write on them, and gel them into place. I still don't know what I'd write on them. It will come to me once I begin. Probably poetry or postcard stories, depending on the size of the leaf. Some of the maple leaves lining the sidewalks are enormous. Maybe I'll collect some on my lunch break. I could write on them between calls.

The powers that be are making their way through various domains, and banning them from our terminals at work. So far, we've been cut off from almost all the game sites and eBay. If they cut me off from LJ and www.tribe.net, I may go insane. These are my lifelines at work.

To quote Darth Vader, "Nooooooooooo-oooo-OOOOOOOOOOO!"

I can feel my horrid bee-killing cramps returning, despite the anti-inflammatories I'm on. Here's hoping the pills keep the pain down to a dull, non-work-impeding, roar.

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] f00dave and I watched Bless the Child. I love this sort of religious/hocum/ancient-evil flick. I'm really not sure why, but I find them fascinating--even when they're dreadful. And Bless the Child is pretty dreadful. The CGI rats had me in hysterics. And the way the nuns all prayed together, I was almost expecting the Voltron of nuns to come and fight the Devil. And who'd have thought that angels looked like crystalline entities all covered with lens flares? Wow wow wow.

[livejournal.com profile] snowy_kathryn, you need to watch this movie with me. It's filled with RS badness.

Oh Yeah

I wanna dance burlesque. Who's going to teach me?

No one in Fredericton, I suspect. And not that I'd get any gigs here, anyhow, right? Or, at least not gigs I'd want to take.

On that note, time to do some more costuming. The dance belt continues at a glacial pace. Sewing leather by hand is not a speedy process.

For a good time, watch He-Man.
