Ranger the Rascally Race Horse
Apr. 1st, 2006 09:14 amWhen I was still in junior high, my family was given a retired race horse named Glengow Ranger. He was a tall and friendly strawberry roan Standardbred gelding. He'd been retired not because of age, and not because of being slow, but because his feet were in terrible condition. Dad took a look at his sad, mangled hooves and said, "I think I can fix them." ( And so we had a new addition to our already considerable menagerie. )
