Some People...
Dec. 11th, 2010 06:48 pmI just remembered a dance gig I did several years ago at a hotel. I think it was for a company Christmas party. In any case, after my performance, I was posing with people who wanted their photos taken with me. A tipsy woman walked right up to me, grabbed my hair, gave it a couple of tugs and said, "That's not real." She laughed. "But that's ok, neither are these." And she grabbed her boobs, gave them a jiggle, then walked off.
The young teenaged boy (probably her son) who was with her looked mortified and gave me an apologetic look.
How low-class can you get? Eesh.
Some people treat dancers like subhumans. The way I figure, these are the same people who also condescend to cashiers and waiters.
And by the way, not that it really matters, but it was certainly my real hair. I am pretty sure she was trying to dislodge my "wig".
