While teaching my dance class, I couldn't help but notice my reflection in the mirror. I'm definitely losing weight. Although I'm not sad to see the little bit of tum pudge leave, I am sorry my muscles are vamoosing. Still, my waist is definitely more defined. It's a wonder what overwork paired with lack of weight-training will do to a physique. I just hope I've got enough muscle and fat to get me through the next two weekends of dancing. With a two-day dance workshop this weekend and a twenty-minute performance next weekend, I'm going to need all the stamina I can get.

I think my soldering is progressing. Today, I soldered together six new bezel settings for my tribal belt, and the soldering job looks pretty darned good! I have almost all of the time-consuming work done. The sewing and stone-setting should be a breeze in comparison. I decided to cut up the purple cotton fabric I wove a couple of weeks ago for the detail work. It matches the tassels very well. And, to top it off, I was gifted with a small piece of vintage assuit in exactly the right shade of purple. I might even be able to use a little bit of it on my belt and still have some left over for my research project. Hoorah! With all of the silver, vintage fabric, and handwork done, this belt will easily be worth about $500. No one would ever pay that much for it, though, I figure. At least, no one I know.

Normally, I'd be in bed right now, but Patricia, a fellow dancer and vendor from Nova Scotia (who's giving me crash space this weekend!) phoned up, and we chatted for far too long. Maybe I'll dream about dancing tonight....
