I was just contacted by a telemarketer selling Maclean's magazine (amongst others). Reading from her effervescent script, she said, "Maclean's will be delivered to you each week for just $2.79! By getting the subscription, you'll be saving over $9 a week!"

This was my cue to say, "Thanks, but I'll save $2.79 a week by not getting a subscription."

:o) and right you were. That's the only thing that works on telemarketers. Or hanging up on them, which is what I do - but then, I deprive myself of the fun :o(
