shanmonster: (Dance Monkey Dance!)
It was hotter than the sun on that stage, and I was wearing velvet and plastic. But somehow, I don't look like I'm cooking to death.

This is my first attempt at a straight-up burlesque dance performance. It's a bit, ahem, cheeky.

Wow. You're good at that genre.

Would love to see you perform in a late 19th/early 20th century setting.

Amazing. Smooth. Cheeky(!)

Not sure how many were there, but it was a decent-sized crowd for the venue.

Thanks! I figured I'd start with something really basic. Might go for a vintage thing later. Burlesque is fun....

If vintage thing includes 45 year old Central Asians, I have no plans and am available ;)

Very hot!

You make it look so effortless. I've never been a big fan of burlesque, stripping, pole-dancing, etc., at least in public venues. Mostly I regard them as opportunities for grown men to impress one another with how little they have really matured since high school. Nevertheless, that was...excellent. You're mesmerizingly kinesthetically talented. There is such a world of difference between a woman who performs such dancing half-assed and someone who knows what she's doing. You're incredible and F00 is one lucky guy. Heh!

*Good* burlesque (like this phenomenal video) is oft known to make people change their minds and start endorsing this phenomenal art form. :)

That was phenomenal!

It temporarily sated my craving to always watch you dance. :)

Faboo!

Hey, so who's doing the cover of Kiss playing in the clip? I did a search on Max Raabe (as listed in your "current music") and unless he's going in a really different direction on that piece, I don't know that he's singing what you're dancing to. =D

Yup, that's the song: Kiss by Max Raabe und das Palast Orchester from Superhits I.

Well, he certainly has a wide range, doesn't he? Goodness me.

Mesmerizingly coquettish and hotter than a fresh, out of the toaster, frosted cinnamon Pop Tart.

That was spectacular! There are some burlesque dancers out here in Los Angeles who should be taking notes....
