Thank you! Yes, I love to dance. I especially love to dance for people who love watching me dance. This audience was typical Frederictonian: lukewarm.

In fact, I have a long weekend's trip to PEI and Halifax planned for this summer, with my ex (who happens to be an Anne of Green Gables nut). Perhaps we'll drop by on our way!

Ack! Anneland! PEI is a total tourist trap. Every store, including gas stations, sells Annechandise. Mind you, the book is good, and the character is certainly loveable enough, but after a while, it gets awfully creepy.

f00 and I bicycled to and around PEI a few years ago. Once, on a break, we stopped in one of the many gift boutiques to get something to drink. A pretty young red-headed woman with her hair in braids was the store clerk. The shop was filled with Anne everything.

When I noted we were the only people in the store, I said, "So what do you really think about Anne of Green Gables?

She spat out, "I hate the bitch!"

...

But yes, please let us know when you're coming through the area! Will you be driving through NB?

There was enough Annechandise (great term!) in Halifax, so I can only imagine how it is in PEI. I'm sure I'll be thoroughly revolted, as I have yet to recover from the Anne movie marathon the ex subjected me to more than a year ago.

But, I agreed to take Tricia to PEI, and damn it, I'm a man of my word! (I must confess, though, to an ulterior motive: I love Halifax, and can't wait to return.)

I presume we'll be driving through, as I did last summer. It's such a beautiful drive! And I'll be sure to let you and f00dave know. When taking a road trip, it's always fun to know people along the way!
