Next week, I'll be doing a da Vinci-inspired photo shoot with Mary Ellen. Specifically, we'll be trying to recreate (although not exactly) Portrait of an Unknown Woman (La Belle Ferroniere) and Portrait of Cecilia Gallarani (Lady with an Ermine). For some reason, until today, I was misremembering this as a photoshoot inspired by Michelangelo. I guess once you've seen one master, you've seen 'em all.
I do wish I had a copy of a painting done of me while I lived in Moncton. A fabulous painter, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten, did a gorgeous nude oil painting of me in the style of Michelangelo. I've been drawn, painted, and photographed by plenty of artists. I wish I had more copies of their work.
And just to prove I did smile during Mary Ellen's last photo shoot, here's a picture of me doing a little dance.
Ah, now there's a smile!
