shanmonster: (For goodness sakes. I've got the....)

I have a busy weekend planned. I need to make a jewellery design strong enough to have a chance at winning an international design competition. Fat chance with that! But I shall try to come up with something. I also have to attempt granulation this weekend. It's a long and painstaking process, and I'm afraid my unsteady hands and poor vision will be quite problematic. Tomorrow, I have another dance performance, this time for a birthday party at a café in Marysville. I suppose I'd better lay out a costume and get my music ready, hmm?

Now, before I start my crazy weekend, I think I'll share another collection of links:

[McFatties]

Burger giant plans clothing range: I think this photo encapsulates my opinions on fast food joints quite nicely.

Stones of Fire: Gorgeous gold jewellery made with techniques I'm only just starting to investigate (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] snowlionsilver).

Romanian villagers decry police investigation into vampire slaying: "'The heart of a vampire, while you burn it, will squeak like a mouse and try to escape,' Balasa said. 'It's best to take a wooden stake and pin it to the pan, so it won't get away.'"

Special Ingredients: Looks like just your average practical joke stink bomb store, until you look at the site that's hosting it. Why on earth do the cops need tooth-yellower and artificial diarrhea?

Claudia Bohm Gallery: Imaginative photography of the grotesque and the mythological (thanks, Michelle).

The Quintessential Pet: Features such modestly-priced items as a dog bed clocking in at $24,266.00.

Top doc backs picking your nose and eating it: Apparently, it does a body good.

Political Kung Fu: It's all in the photo:

"Political Kung Fu" took place in my city?! Why didn't I hear about it? Man... What I wouldn't have done to be in the gallery during that display. Politicans kicking crotches! Hee!

I got to see Shaolin martial monks during the Wheel of Life tour last year. They were fabulous. I got to see them backstage, too, and the little boys were cute, hopping around like crazed kittens.
