Today's metal class dragged. I'm still working on my bracelet, and it's a long, labourious process. Somehow, I can't imagine making hollow form bracelets for the heck of it. They are so labour-intensive, that I'd better have a good idea what I want before I start making it. In any case, the bracelet is coming along very well. The hinges are all working out, although one is a bit gappier than I'd like. Still, it's very tight, and doesn't have a trace of a wobble. That's a very good thing. I want to finish the hinges tomorrow, and begin working on the box clasp. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish this by the end of the weekend. I'm expecting some facetted faux rubies, emeralds, and sapphires, shortly.
Awards for the ring competition will be announced tomorrow. If you'd like to see who won, show up at Sue Lawrence's Gallery/Spa at 1:00. I'll be there, although I don't expect I won anything. The competition was very fierce.
I did manage to get photos of three of my rings, and I'll share them with you. I should be able to post the fourth ring sometime tomorrow. I plan on making a metal gallery page, showcasing my creations, whenever I get the chance. The photos aren't the best of quality (especially with the focus issues on The Beholder ring), but they at least serve to get the idea across.
