I forgot to mention how I played Mahjong for the first time, last night. Dmitrii and Linda brought over their very stinky Mahjong set and folding table. The rules confused me for a while (probably partially because I was still tired from the day of fishing). But by the end, although I still hadn't won a round, I was at least getting close. I like that game! It would be a lot easier if I understood the Cantonese number system, but that will come with time.

In the meantime, here are some links. Hoorah.

[Parallel to the ground parking]

Suspects Caught After Wreck Damages Vehicles And Garage: Check out the parking job!

Solace: Free streaming mp3s by an interesting Middle Eastern-influenced electronic group. I want to perform to some of their music.

Chernobyl Motorcycling Fake! I find this disappointing, but the actual story is interesting, nonetheless.

Pie-in-Face Contest gets Student Expelled: This story just doesn't make any sort of sense, whatsoever.

Bloody Beach: Because even vampires like to get tans.

The Mutter Museum: I dearly want to visit this place. Won't someone take me?

Cookies: At $49.99 per dozen, those had better be some damned fine cookies.

The Presidential Prayer Team. This page creeps me out. And this picture is even creepier:

That Solace stuff is pretty good! And there
is soooo much of it! It reminds me of good
Muslimgauze (the band).

Apparently the level of mastery of the Eng-
lish language in Toledo, Ohio, hasn't changed
since the last time I was there.

I've been to the Mutter Museum. It was pretty
cool. It's just big enough to be worth the
money and to leave you time to go to the
nearby (I think) museum (of natural history?)
full of armour and weapons. Gah, all the
museums I've seen in the past few years
kind of jumple together. Especially the
Mutter, the Korperwelten, and the Kunst-
kamera
. All of them have freakish babies
in jars.

I'm quite enraged that a small percentage
of the few hundred dollars I haven't managed
to get out of paying the IRS has probably
gone into making that Presidential Prayer
site. Isn't the religious iconography of
state leaders one of the signs of...I don't
know...megalomania? fascism? Reminds me
of the Lenin pins and the Kim Jong Il and
father portraits.

I've heard good things about Muslimgauze for years and years, but the only tracks I managed to find were extremely repetitive and boring. I'd love to listen to the more imaginative stuff. Do you have any recommendations?

Gah, you know, I've just got this
bigass CDROM full of Muslimgauze
mp3s in no particular order. They
have like 15 albums, and some suck,
and some are good. Sorry, I don't
have any good recommendations. I
shall pull it out sometime soon
and give it a listen.

And look, I found a picture I
took of dead babies in jars at
the Kunst Kamera:
