The pictures I took yesterday turned out pretty well, so I'm happy. Unfortunately, f00 liked them so much that he took them to a friend's place, and then, didn't like them quite enough to show to his buddie, and then he forgot the pictures there. So I guess I won't get them back until next week.
Most of them are rather boring, but I'm quite pleased with about five of them.
I was also very surprised to see the SuperStore actually did a great job with the development. Normally, whenever we're silly enough to get pictures developed there, the colours are really awful. Maybe they hired someone who actually knows how to work the machine.
In other news, today I have to return my tool box and tools to the school. This makes me very sad, because it means I won't be able to continue doing metal work over the summer. Goodbye, access to a metal studio. The good news is that I've officially been accepted into second year studies, and have already given them my downpayment on tuition. So now I have to come up with $1500 for September. Yikes! How'm I supposed to do that and pay for rent and food?
I've been working on ordering in heaps of Turkish-made hip scarves with the hopes I can sell them at a decent profit. Perhaps this will help pay my way. In the meantime, I have to make a hefty (to me) investment on getting them imported. Argh. Some of them look like the one in the picture, but there are also scarves with coins going across in straight patterns rather than in dags. And they come in an assortment of colours (both fabric and coins), and some also have brightly-coloured beads. I'll be selling them for about $40 CDN each, or $32 US, if you're interested.
