shanmonster: (Spasmolytic)

Do you like rap? Whether or not you do, prepare to have your gabber flasted by these: Buck Truck, the Rappin' Trucker and the Lactating Male Rapper (Real Player | Windows Media Player) (thanks, Warren Ellis).

Possible Follow-Up Songs for One-Hit Wonders: includes such gems as How Are We Going to Get These Dogs Back In? and Bust an Additional Move (thanks, Jack Frost).

Old news, I'm sure, but I find it spectacularly ominous: White House looks into delaying election in case of attack.

Lost your keys? I hope you don't find them where this Iranian man found his.

A motherlode of Lenore!

Check out the photography of Emil Schmidt. He does beautiful things with light painting (thanks, Suzanne).

I want this head! Isn't it amazing (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] o_lucky_man)?

Wanna watch some dancers? You can see Jillina and the Sahlala Dancers. And in case you haven't had the opportunity, take a look at Rachel Brice at Tribal Fest 2003. I'd really love to train with this woman. She has the moves I want to have, and I know it's all within the realm of my possibility, too.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm having a craving to do a bunch of pushups. But first, here's a picture of sideshow performer Bobby Kork. The photo dates from between 1940-1954. Some of these circus workers "would form a breast on one side by working out by exercising the pectoral muscles. Some were even known to inject parafin to create the breast."

I just love Rachel Brice too.. I'm going to be training with her the first weekend of August, and I am so looking forward to it!

I'm so jealous! Tell her to come and visit me in eastern Canada, won't you? Heh....

I'll do my best to remember to pass along to her that the Canadian dancers are patiently waiting for her ;)

She was in Toronto just a couple of weeks ago, but that's about a twelve-hour drive from here. She needs to scootch over a little bit east....

Nope! The technical name for that is "fuck-up." The correct link is this: http://www.rachelbrice.com/tribalfest3.html

Sorry about that!

Found it. It's "Ananda Enchanted." You can find it here in the audio section.
