Hmm. Still no sign of John and Sephira. I hope I didn't miss them! If I don't hear from them by 2:00, I'm off to do some more kung fu. Today, I'll work some more on my sword form with Colleen and the Aussie girl whose name I always forget. I got a little further through the form yesterday, but no one there really knew any more than I do. Colleen knows the whole thing, though. I'd like to get the rest of it down today. I did get the basics of tornado kicks down last night, though, thanks to Sean. They're not so very hard. They're just difficult to make look nice. Heh.... I also went over some pressure point stuff with Dmitri, but mostly we just chatted and had a pretty lax session.
Now, after just tidying the livingroom and doing some dishes, I'm off to do an arm workout, and maybe some more abs, too. My shoulders are a bit stiff from yesterday's kayaking session, but not too bad. I think I'll go again next weekend. Dmitri expressed an interest in kayaking with me, and also with his girlfriend Linda, whenever she returns from Malaysia. I have my doubts she'll be able to do very much, since she's both extremely tiny and not in shape, but, if nothing else, she can sit in front while Dmitri does all the paddling.
I'm also getting some more costuming ideas for dance. I'm thinking of coming up with something based on
meddevi's corset belts and Rachel Brice's yarn belts (made by Mardi Love). I just think I'd like to use chenille
instead of yarn. I want to make the belt from my new black and grey (with rose undertone) fabric--the same stuff I used to make a
choli. I think these will go well with the red assuit I've been planning on using for a straight skirt.
