No kung fu for me, today! Sephira's coming over. I just did Tamilee Webb's I Want That Body workouts for arms and abs. I did the first ab workout yesterday, and it was pretty good. I just did the second one scant moments ago, and it's brutal! I thought my abs are in excellent condition, but Tamilee totally whipped my arse! I couldn't keep up with it. Normally, exercise videos leave me uninspired, but hers is very well done, and keeps me motivated the whole way through. My only qualm is that the stretches are held for far too short a time, and the transitions between them are too fast for me. I'm tall and very flexible, so in order for me to get a full stretch down the side of my torso, I bend a long way. I can't whip from one torso stretch to the other quickly, because I have a long distance to travel. Doing it that quickly is an accident waiting to happen for me.
I haven't yet done the second arms or butt workouts. I don't know where my hand weights are, so I just did the arm exercise holding my sword. It did, in a pinch. I learned a couple of new exercises from the arm workout, but it wasn't too taxing. With heavier weights, I'm sure I'll get a better workout.
The first butt workout was a joke for me, but I think that's because I essentially do all that stuff in kung fu, but much more hardcore. We'll see with the second workout, though. Still, for someone who doesn't do a lot of horse stance or dragons on a regular basis, I'll bet this is an excellent workout for the glutes. We'll see how the second workout goes.
