While walking downtown today, I noticed a placard in front of the Alley Katz Café. It listed the lunch specials. One of them was called "Katz in Heat Chilli." Oh dear.

Today was a lazy day. Most of it was spent sitting on my arse playing solitaire, with occasional run-throughs of what I know of my Praying Mantis form. So far, I think I'm doing pretty well.

Despite almost dozing off during the day because I was so tired, I went kayaking for an hour and a half after work. The wind was brisk and paddling against it was a serious workout. I contented myself with the thought that when I was through paddling upstream, the current and wind would blow me home. However, when I turned around, the wind died. Go figure.

I didn't see as much wildlife tonight. I guess the critters aren't too fond of wind. I only saw a few seagulls, ducks, and crows. I paddled by the beaver lodge, but didn't see a sign of the quintessential Canadian rodents. I want to go kayaking again on Sunday morning before work. Dmitri may join me.

Tomorrow morning, unless the weather is bad, I'll be dancing with

snowy_kathryn across the street from the Farmers' Market. We're doing a dual purpose: raising money for breast cancer research and raising money for dance workshop expenses. We danced last weekend, and did quite well. I hope we can do even better tomorrow! So if you're in the neighbourhood, please join us, or even come to watch.
