Fredericton, NB
Introductory/Beginner Middle Eastern dance ("belly dance")
Whether you've never danced before or you're still working on the basics, Shantell will be happy to help you progress in this beautiful art form. Classes begin Sunday, November 7th and run from 3:30-5:00 at the Wu T'ai Chi Chuan Academy, upstairs from Victory Meat Market on 328 King St. You pay $12/class, or save by paying $60 for six weeks. Intermediate/advanced Middle Eastern Dance
Intended for students with a background in Middle Eastern dance, these classes work on technique, stage presence, props, floorwork, combinations, rhythm, etcetera. Classes begin Saturday, November 6th and run from 3:30-5:00 at the Wu T'ai Chi Chuan Academy, upstairs from Victory Meat Market on 328 King St. You pay $12/class, or save by paying $60 for six weeks. Costumes/Music/Accessories for Sale
Shantell sells hip scarves, Middle Eastern CDs (traditional, modern, pop, etc.), costumes, and all sorts of other dance accessories by appointment. Moncton, NB
The full moon is coming up and this month's full moon bellydance at Studio Sephira will be held on Friday October the 29th from 9:30pm to 11:30pm. The evening will be hosted by Afsana. If you've never been to a full moon get together and want to check it out now is the time. Bring a friend if you want, but please remember that this event is for women only. It is a magical place to try out new moves, wear something pretty/shiny, and to just hang out with friends. We ask for a small donation; anything from a toonie to a candle, or some food to snack on.
