Tonight I'm going to see a live Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's at the Marshall D'Avery building on the UNB campus, and the show starts at 10:00. Tickets are $3. Wanna come with me?

Robot Dance: The second dancer is good (thanks, Kutulu).

Child to 911 dispatcher: 'My daddy killed me with a butcher knife': Poor kid (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] zombienought).

2004's Scariest Halloween Costumes: I don't know about scariest, but many of them are helluva tasteless (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] balthcat).

Taiwan lawmakers in food fight over arms budget: And you thought political food fights only happened in lampoons.

I'd probably go with the Abu Ghraib one.

I just washed the lipstick V off my forehead. I'm no longer a Rocky virgin (I'd seen the movie, but had never been to a production).

The show was great fun, except for when "Meatloaf" took a faceplant off the back of a chair and destroyed one of his front teeth. f00 and I took him to the hospital at the end of the show. He was drunk enough to finish the show with a bleeding face and a MIA tooth. What a trooper....

Check out Full Body Cast in Harvard Square. They have midnight showings every saturday, and they're usually pretty good.

I am not a dancer. I assume that robot dances are not the easiest things to do. Am I right?

I've never tried this type of dance. I suspect that it isn't any more difficult than any other technical movement style, but to achieve the fluidity this guy has either requires years and years of practice or a few years of practice and a whole buttload of natural talent.

It's difficult to tell from the video clip if he works particularly well with music, or if he would have done the same dance to pretty much any old song. I'd love to see more of his stuff to find out.

I don't even know who he is, though....

I googled around. The vid seems widespread on the net. It's some sort of Korean-American talent show, as far as I can tell. Of course, who knows how accurate net reportage is?

Oh man! I planned to go to that show all week, and then we decided against it at the last minute; I was in costume and everything!

There's another tonight at Pitchman's at midnight. You could still do it....
