Video Link Dump
Aug. 12th, 2006 01:06 pmI'm just waiting on
stuffguy to arrive, so
snowy_kathryn and I can go off for a photoshoot on a farm. While I wait, here are the videos which have been clogging up my browser.
Enjoy!
Walking Machines: These are the coolest-looking things, ever. They remind me a little of combines come to life (thanks, Benoit).
Crazy Bike: This woman does some things on her bike that I'd never even contemplated before. She has phenomenal balance and control. The most surreal thing about the performance is the serene, Enya-like background music.
Didem - Turkish Oryantal: Didem has excellent control, and her shimmying undulations are perfect.
Unmata Tribal Fusion Bellydance: I'm not normally a fan of group choreographies, but Unmata are tight, and the moves are interesting. Nice tribal/hula fusion going on here.
Frank - Tribal Fusion: Frank goes by the name Hammerhead Sharqi. Although I find his arm movements weak and unfocused, everything else is a big, solid WOW. I look forward to seeing more of his stuff, especially once his armwork matches everything else.
Robot Chicken - The Password is Swordfish: Cybernetic chicken! Yay (thanks,
f00dave)!
And here are a few non-video links, just for fun:
Trance Belly Dance: Robyn is the weirdest-looking belly dancer I ever did see.
Murder, Morphine, and Me!: Thanks to
papajoemambo for sharing this lost treasure.
Enjoy!
