Sew What?

I went to Fabricland and looked all over for a fabric for my new Ghawazee coat. I wanted a white or pale dove grey wool, but none was to be found in the appropriate thickness. And then I found this in the sale rack for drapery/upholstery.

It's much richer in person. The photo doesn't really do it justice. It's a peculiar bluish-silver, with pale blue and gold embroidery. I plan on lining it with a heavy bluish-silver satin that my sister gave me as a birthday present years ago.

I also bought some dark blue and gold tassels, because I'm going to need a belt or hip sash to go with it. So now I just need to start cutting and sewing.

I always dread cutting into nice fabric.

Couldn't Of

Stop it.

It's not "couldn't of," "shouldn't of," or "wouldn't of." It's "couldn't have," "shouldn't have," or "wouldn't have."

This particular misuse of the English language rankles me even more than "alot," and about the same as using an apostrophe for plural's.

(That hurt me.)
