[livejournal.com profile] f00dave keeps asking me if I'm worried about starting my new job. The answer is yes, but not for the typical reasons. I don't doubt I'll do fine at the job. What causes me worry is whether or not I'll be able to continue my kung fu training. I'm betting my classes will be bitten into, and that makes me sad.

If only I could be paid to practice my kung fu....

[I do this without knee socks]

I was thinking, if you'd trained as hard as
Jackie Chan as a kid, you'd have had even
*more* time to train, as you'd have saved
time by not going to the toilet!

That is true. Instead, I have become soft by taking going to the bathroom for granted. Heh....

Ocuh. I hope your new job (what kind of job is it BTW?) leaves you enough time for KungFu training.

Good luck!

I'll be doing hotel reservations at a 24-hour call centre. There's not a whole lot of use for kung fu there.

Ooh, I work in a reservations call center. Well, I don't book reservations. I close out room on websites like Expedia and Travelocity. I can guarantee it'll be interesting.

I hear people from the call centre Shan's going to be working at (at least, the one I think she's going to be working at) complain about getting customers from the travel websites trying to cancel, but since the room isn't in their name, but in the name of the company, they can't cancel their reservation, and they get all flustered.

It's not the spare time (she'll have enough of that), it's the shift-work. Kung Fu is twice a week, evenings, so if she works evenings over that interval, no Kung Fu that week.... I'm sure something will work out, though.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info, I got that wrong... Somehow it has to work out *fingers crossed*
