So here are some things I've done which you may not have....
1. Pulled a Lady Godiva through the forest on a fat little pony.
2. Jousted on horseback during a bitchin' thunderstorm.
3. Lived in the desert, the mountains, on the seashore, in the permafrost, in a deciduous forest, and in a rainforest.
4. Lived off the land in the Rockies.
5. Rode on the backs of pigs and goats.
6. Mixed kung fu with Middle Eastern dance in performance
7. Ate popcorn wrapped in dulse.
8. Hurled myself from a cliff at a rock beach in a game of tag (I didn't get caught).
9. Leaped off a very steep and tall cactus-infested hill when I realized I was about to be bitten by a rattlesnake.
10. Managed a comics/game shop and, being an attractive girl with good comics/gaming lore, was therefore the first sexual fantasy for far too many boys entering puberty. Ewww....
11. Fought with my sister about which mansion we'd get to live in once the current occupants had died in Armageddon.
12. Rode into town with a horse and buggy or on a dogsled.
13. Flunked three courses in my first year of university yet still finish the year with a 3 point something GPA.
14. Became a published writer at the age of nine (I had an essay published in a national magazine).
15. In 2001, was asked by Miles Copeland if I would consider dancing for a rai concert (at that point, I only knew him as a music representative). I turned him down because I knew there were far better dancers closer to him in proximity. How was I to know he'd go on to launch the Bellydance Superstars?
16. Was hired to dance in the service bay of a car dealership, in the housewares section of a department store, as halftime entertainment for a magic act, and on stage for a punk/ska concert.
17. Put chickens and hamsters on the turntables of record players.
18. Was cited as a research source for some Blair Witch book or another.
19. Lived on a gluten-free diet for a year (it sucked).
20. Busted out a front tooth by kissing too hard.
