Normally, when I'm working out at the gym, the background music is craptastic pop music, a la Britney Spears. Today, while zooming along on the elliptical trainer, I broke stride when I realized I was hearing Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart." This was followed by some Depeche Mode and The Cure. I'm not sure who was working, but I didn't see any gym attendants dressed all in black....

Tonight, while at work, I called a hotel looking for information on something called the Body and Soul Package. Only when I reached the hotel, my brain fuzzed over and I said, "I'm calling for some information about your Body and...."

The clerk at the other line laughed and said, "You want some information on my body???"

It took us both a little while before we could stop the giggling and communicate properly.

Hoo boy!

Tonight is slow, and I'm relishing the change. It's giving me opportunity to catch up on some reading. I'm off to read Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys excerpt, now.
