Last night, I made myself a Black Army. After I downed
it, I made the strangest noises. Jagermeister and Galliano taste very peculiar together, and the oily texture of the Galliano is a
strange foil for the clean consistency of Jagermeister.
f00dave made one for himself, and it made him make weird noises, too.
Afterwards, I went to the livingroom and mafficked about all by myself. Then, I'm sorry to say, we watched Sonic Impact, which is the lamest excuse for an
airplane takeover movie I've ever seen. By the way, the movie really has nothing to do with impact or sound. I suspect the movie
was titled by finding two cool-sounding random words. The flick is even worse than Bill Shatner's Horror at 37,000 Feet, which I'd kind of like to see again.
I was awoken this morning by someone from work. Half an hour before my clock was to go off, one of my supervisors called in to see if I'd be willing to work today. The answer was, "Hell, no!" although not in those exact words. I have plans for the day, and work just doesn't fit in.
To help me wake up, I took an online quiz. I'm slipping. My results on The Commonly Confused Words Test are as follows: 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 64% Expert. I'm uncommonly disappointed in my expert knowledge. Damn.
In other news, f00 and I have finally slipped over to the dark side and will be purchasing some wonderful smelly stuff from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.
snowy_kathryn gave us sample bottles (imps) of Oisin and
Salome, and they smell really, really good. So now we're hooked, and our order will be going out shortly.
And now, before my day proper begins, here are a few links. Enjoy.
Whiskers Go Wild at World Beard, Mustache Games: "Each morning the former world and European champion stands before a mirror, where he spends 15 minutes grooming his trim, Kaiser Wilhelm-style mustache. His training gear? 'Hairspray … and hazelnut mustache wax.'"
Disrobics: NSFW. Nude gay "aerobic" video from the 80s. Silly as hell. Nice headbands and moustaches, dudes!
Requiem to Animals: Sad and thought-provoking photo gallery of unwanted Japanese pets on death row.
Basketball accident severs boy's hands, foot: Basketball is a very dangerous sport.
Alessi Mr. Suicide: I would like to have this bath plug, actually.
Parents Of Cyclist Killed By Mountain Lion Sue SoCal Wilderness: After all, no one expects mountain lions to behave like wild animals.
Fuzzy Math (and Spelling) in Ed. Dept. Test Aid: "An algebraic equation in the booklet for seventh-grade teachers uses variables, to ask, in essence, what 15+10 equals — but gives the correct answer as 24. In fact, 25 is not even among the four multiple-choice answers."
The unsung role of Kung Fu in the Kyrgyz revolution: The article may as well have said the revolution was fought with judo, capoeira, or Turkish wrestling. All they mean is that the fighters used Kyrgyzstan's martial art: Alysh. Any ideas where I can find more information on this style?
Love a duck: Jake the sex pest waddles back to his feathered nest: Duck was a sex pest with a massive case of homesickness.
Whipping therapy cures depression and suicide crises: Depressed? Go see a dominatrix.
Robbery charges stun teenagers' families: The best part of this story is the fact the robbers wore name tags.
Quite an interesting thing to note...
Date: 2005-03-29 05:59 pm (UTC)From:So kung fu may not be an entirely inappropriate thing to call it.
