shanmonster: (For goodness sakes. I've got the....)
Here's my dance to-do list. Even if I don't work on all of the following, I'd like to incorporate it in upcoming advanced classes:

Basic isolation exercises:
Thigh shimmies with rib slides
Reverse undulations

More for me than the students (so far!). Perfect the following:
Reverse undulations layered over mayas
Reverse undulations layered over mayas while doing a modified grapevine
Forward undulation going into backbend with layered belly rolls
Turkish folds (floorwork)
Slow-motion Turkish drops (without spin)

Practice:
Spinning without needing to vomit (practice in morning before breakfast)

Contemplating:
Figure-8 of ribs layered over horizontal figure 8 of hips (would it look good, or just messy?)

Poi:
Transitioning cleanly from front to rear to overhead butterflies
Wrist wraps with wheel-type circle in front while doing backbends
Single-handed butterflies (this will take me the longest, I think)

Am I missing anything?

Edit: In other news, as of today, I started running a half mile. Not much to all you runners out there, but it shagged me out good and proper. Phew!

If you think you're going to be running regularly, would you want company?

I could use an exercise partner to actually make sure I _do_ something ;)

AFAIK she runs on the indoor track at the Y, usually a 1/4 mile, now 1/2 mile, and just as a warmup. But hey, I'm sure she'd be open to news things. =)

I'd be willing to give it a shot. Bear in mind that I have the endurance of a cat.
