Munch masterpieces destroyed?: The Scream and Madonna may have been incinerated. Ack!

Burrito causes gun scare at Clovis school: No comment necessary.

Cracks in decaying shell of Chernobyl reactor threaten second disaster: Wasn't once enough?

The second story is funny, but they're all pretty bad news. The first one is the one which disturbed me the most. Somehow, it seems wrong that an imminent nuclear disaster isn't as moving to me as the destruction of two paintings. Maybe I'm a psychopath.

I didn't get much sleep last night. As a result, my energy levels are low. I had a heck of a time doing my abs/dance workout this afternoon, and actually skipped out on the ami isolation drills. I just couldn't be arsed to do it. I got in a mere ten minutes of poi practice, but I can switch between my various tricks with a lot more facility, now.

My brain hurts. I've had a headache for the past two days. I'm betting it's because of the weather. It's great weather if you're a travelling earthworm. Whenever it's this wet, there's a regular diaspora of nightcrawlers. The sidewalks are all a-slither with them. Yum yum.

Even if the story about the paintings being burned is true, Munch made several versions of each. There are/were four known copies of The Scream, and five of Madonna. That's how The Scream gets stolen so often - it's not that they just have really crappy security :)

It's a little bit of a relief, I guess. But still....

Would it be a tragedy if someone incinerated a poster of The Scream, do you suppose?
