shanmonster: (Spasmolytic)
The day is going by in fits and starts.

The Nice Guy of the Day Award does not go to this yob: Fight over finger found in custard: So a restaurant worker gets his finger torn off in a machinery accident, and the missing digit ends up in someone's food. What makes this story different is the fact the customer refused to relinquish the finger to a doctor in order that it be reattached. He was hoping on a big cash settlement for the gross-out factor. But the end result is the worker's finger was frozen, its cells killed, and now it will be impossible for the finger to be reattached.

I hope the greedy yob becomes a pariah.

In other news, I had a customer today who couldn't give me his credit card number because he was busy driving 85 miles per hour. What was he doing driving that speed while booking a hotel room? Your guess is as good as mine.

And here I thought it was a Nicole Blackman reference.

Oh, well. I can't dance.

Funny, I thought it was a Q-feel reference. Oribital Be-Bop.

As if it weren't enough that he's a can-
nibal, then we discover he's responsible
for someone losing the tip of his finger.
I hope the employee guy sues the custo-
mer.

So this was an America on the phone with
you, seeing as he was going mph? US speed
limits are easily 15kph faster than the
ones I've seen in Canada. And 85mph is a
common (though illegal) speed for the free-
ways/highways.

The quibble isn't with the man driving 85 mph. It's with him driving such speeds while booking a hotel room. I regularly get people driving at high speeds fishing through their wallets/purses to find their credit cards.
