While out walking with f00 this afternoon, I noticed a man staring at me. He smiled and said hello in a very familiar way. I said hi back.

"Who is that?" asked f00.

"No idea. I don't think I've ever seen him before."

And then, when we were returning home, I espied another fellow staring at me. I looked back at him questioningly.

"Sorry," he said, "but you're moderately famous."

Uh oh. I wonder what I did this time?

World famous! I'm not sure about that, although I have been recognized by passersby while I was vacationing in Ottawa. That was pretty freaky.

Well...maybe not "world" famous yet, but certainly internationally famous. I'd be willing to bet that more people around the world recognise you than me...unless we're in Germany and, hell, they made David Hasslehoff a rockstar so it's not like I've got any *real* credibillity ;-)

Ummm...the weekly Shanmonster update on Italian TV

The viewer survey question tonight after the SHANMONSTER SPOT on the national TV network, was something about - Has her world celebrity status changed the real Shanmonster? The early results show 43% saying 'NO,' 37% saying 'YES,' and 20% saying 'It's too friggin hot!' I've already set the DVD recorder to capture next week's update while I'm away cooling off in the Alps.

Just one more thing...did you really autograph all those Shanmonster Belly-Dancer dolls' packages on sale here by hand? I'd pay the €85 for one if I thought your hands had been close to it!

I got out my whiteboard markers and just drew in a few sketches on my monitor of how I remembered the site - keeps me from getting panicky.

Who knows? I've been recognized because of radio, dance, theatre, internet, Magic tournaments, newspaper photos, managing a comic shop, and even because everyone also seems to know my Dad. I'm a real live underground celeb, I guess.

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks. I know a guy who say he illustrated a bunch of those cards. I even own a few sets but have never played. They were given to me years ago and I've never opened the box but once. there are some Magazines in there too.
