Wasn't That A Party?

It was the drunkest I've ever been. Could've been the whiskey. Might've been the gin.

But I had neither.

All I had last night was one measley bottle of Mike's Hard Lemonade, but I guess that after a day of extreme heat, that was enough. After wobbling around in a state of total inebriation, I spent a bit of time hugging the toilet and barfing into a bucket.

I'm still having a difficult time understanding how one drink was enough to provoke such a reaction in me. I guess I must have been pretty darned dehydrated.

I didn't know you meant "I'm puking"-sick, I thought you meant "I'm dizzy and otherwise mildly/really drunk and batting this balloon around"-sick. Which I did acknowledge.

I'm at UNB until maybe 6pm-ish, which leaves us a window for supper, but probably not supper and kayaking. If I get home earlier, say at 5-ish, then it's possible. Depends on how today goes, I suppose (and assuming the weather holds).

MUCH better. Souvlaki, electric lemonade, strawberries, potato salad, and coleslaw really don't taste very nice mixed with stomach acid, though. Erg.

I got sicker than a dog, puking up my toes after only three rum and Cokes one evening. I was in college at the time, and when the hangover and nausea refused to go away, I went to the doctor. The diagnosis was stomach flu, which was going around. I didn't tell the doctor what I had been up to the night before, but she gave me a list of stuff to avoid for about a week or so. Alcohol was at the top of the list. I asked her, "No alcohol?"

She said, "Not unless you like the idea of throwing up for several hours an awful lot."

Ah yup! That'll do it.
