I'm full of turgid muscle. My flesh feels alive and vaguely throbbing. That would be from yesterday's battle against nature while kayaking in high winds against big waves (at a few points, I paddled as hard as I could and only held my position), yesterday's kung fu drilling, and this morning's rushed weight-training and uphill bike ride. I've been gaining weight all week. I don't look fatter, and my pants are rather baggy on me today, so I'm guessing it's muscle mass. That might explain why I've been able to up so many weights at the gym this week, hmm?

My sister has finally decided she wants to get in shape. I've been acting more or less as her personal trainer since last week. So far, she's doing really well, and I expect she will eventually race past me in her capacity for weight-lifting and endurance. If we were horses, she'd be a Percheron and I'd be a thoroughbred. She gets big, strong muscles, whereas I remain long and lanky, no matter how much I pump iron and eat protein.

It's so strange that people regularly confuse us with one another. We really look nothing alike, aside from both being approximately the same height with dark hair. She's a big girl with big ol' boobies and long straight hair. Meanwhile, I'm a scrawny thing with no chest and long curly hair. I just don't see the resemblance.

Weird.
