I may have missed a few. Is there a common theme? I don't know.

In other news, I've been regularly working on my balance by riding my bike without using my hands. Maybe I should skip it and just invest in a unicycle.

Damn. I keep meaning to do that... Argh. Maybe I should start now.

Or keep a list of books?

I'd say Harry Potter was one of the weakest of the books I've read recently. It was ok, but nothing to write home about.

I'm curious to see what non-HP books she'll write, if any. She may feel far less pressured with them.

I love Banks' SF stuff. When he writes as Iain M Banks. Do you read those too? I'm thinking that you might, since Niven's on your list as well.

Mervyn Peake and Roald Dahl, aaah that's brilliant stuff ,)

I haven't read anything else by him yet. These are the first books I've ever read by him. I heard good things about his science fiction, though, so I'll probably be reading that, if I see some of it floating around.

I hope you'll like it. I like Banks' SF very much. The Player of Games is said to be a good place to start.

Geez. I could never keep track of what I read. How in the world do/did you do it?

As I've been reading books, I've been noting them on my website. I'd also been half-heartedly keeping a list. Last night, I decided to update it more rigourously.

Duh, right. Totally forgot that part of the sidebar. I don't usually scroll down that far.

Some good reading, that....

Bloodsucking Fiends has one of my absolute favourite lines in it ever. (okay I might be a bit low-brow) "So you really are a vamipre?... that's the coolest thing I've ever heard, let's do it with our shoes off this time!" priceless!

... and I have to comment that even if the Scar wasn't written vy China Mieville, who is just plain *fun* to read, how could Lannie not like a book all about pirates?!?!?

Couldn't get through Peake, my god that man uses a damn lot of words.....
