shanmonster: (For goodness sakes. I've got the....)
I spent the morning biking with [livejournal.com profile] f00dave and [livejournal.com profile] fusty_cabbages. We went across the river, off into the countryside, and spent a delightful couple of hours picking blackberries and playing with critters. We saw squirrels, fish, and even a hawk. And we stopped at a farm to play with singing geese and friendly dogs. I admired sheep and goats and chickens and a pony. I patted cats in town, and squeed at [livejournal.com profile] fusty_cabbages' cutey of a kitten, Skittles.

I'd rather not be at work right now, but work is where I am. Sigh....

Tomorrow, I plan on kayaking with my sister. I wanted to go today, but I have a queasy stomach, courtesy either of call centre/frosh flu, or from the burger I ate yesterday. I didn't want a burger, but I hadn't the time to make a lunch, and the place which sells chili doesn't take debit. So fast food it was. Urk.

Next time, I'll eat potato chips, if it comes to that. At least they don't kill my stomach the way fast food does.

I've been culling my wardrobe in preparation for my possible move. I've filled a huge garbage bag and a grocery bag. I wish I knew more people approximately my size around here. There's some really nice stuff in there, and I'd love one last clothing swap party. If you're around and game, let me know! Otherwise, it'll probably go to the Salvation Army. I'm getting rid of a few things which I probably should have gotten rid of before: jeans which are a bit too big or too small for me, my magician cloak (black with stars and moons and mirrors), a few summer dresses (including one I made for myself a few years back), a couple of little black dresses, some sweaters, a couple of hats, etcetera, etc., ad nauseum.

I should probably cull my dance costume collection, too. There are a few items in there I haven't worn in ages. Maybe I could eBay 'em....

My résumé is almost ready, as are the posters for my next session of dance classes. I sure hope I'll be around to finish them off! If not, would you be willing to, [livejournal.com profile] random_echoes? And if I do leave, you will have the option to continue teaching, if you're so inclined....

e-bay everything.

If Britney's used e.p.t. can be pulled out of the garbage...
If a piece of toast, intentionally burnt to look like someone...
If a bottle of water someone famous might have swam in...

...can be sold, why not The Shanmonsters' Funky Wardrobe?

I bet there are enough Shan-Fans you'd make a buck or two.

hmmm...I'd at least finish off the set of sessions. I don't know after that. It's starting to get expensive to travel up to Fredericton. The price of gas has doubled since I got my car.

I hear ya! The price of gas is scary.
