I'm gearing up for my vacation week by upping my exercise quotient. This morning, I started my old ab routine again--the one with Tamilee Webb. I didn't swear at her this time, but I did yell a couple of times. Good God, that's a tough little routine. I was glad when it was over.

Then I ate some breakfast and did some dance drills, focusing specifically on arm work and turns. It's coming. More slowly than I'd like, but it is happening. I just need to get these movements programmed into my brain so they'll happen automatically during performance. That's what's going to take the longest.

Last night, [livejournal.com profile] f00dave and I watched a zomedy called Undead. Sometimes the pacing was a bit off, but there are enough funny parts in here to make it worth watching. It's like early Peter Jackson's take on Dawn of the Dead, complete with ridiculous gore and over-the-top killings with style. It's the first time I've seen a zombie's head exploded with a can of pop and a ballpoint pen. That's got to count for something.

And it has zombie trout.

Undead - now that was an excellent zombie flick. I liked the unusual twist in it, and i loved the windshield wiper scene. There was something about the comic timing there that makes me remember it everytime i think "zombie-flick"

The wiper thing was purposefully bad, but I resisted ... I resisted through most of it, waffling between "this is really dumb" and "this could be really funny" ... but the scene that finally did me in was the pop can one. We rewound that one. ;-D

What i liked about the wiper scene was the first extra absurd wipe. and then a pause. then a second one.

I loved Undead. I thought it was the best silly Zombie flick in a long time.

Undead was the most confusing cluttered piece of crap I had seen in a while. Space aliens purifying the zombie menace? Um, yeah. At least the loner gun nut was pretty cool
