shanmonster: (Don't just sing it--bring it!)
Out of curiosity, am I the only one here working on Christmas?

well . . .

. . . there are, like five of us here at my call centre. The lights are out in my sector so Jason and I are sitting here in the dark.

Joy to the world.

I think you've got no choice but to really make the customers suffer for this one...

Unfortunately, it's the customers making me suffer. They're especially rude/opaque today. I think it's because they didn't get the Christmas presents they wanted.

You're probably right. All the same, you must find some way to give them the hotel booking equivlent of a stocking full of coal. It is your moral duty ;-)

car full of coal

could be do-able . . .

What *would* the hotel equivalent be? Motel 6 in lieu of the Ritz? Standard rooms?

Noting a preference for a full bar, no refund?

I take it Christmas was rescheduled in the UK....

LOL

Ireland <> UK. Not a healthy comment to make in certain parts of this Island. *g* And 26th December is St.Stephen's Day and part of Christmas.

Ooooooops!

I guess that's like someone telling a Canadian they're American. Heh....

Here, Dec. 26 is considered Boxing Day, aka the day everyone throws out the garbage. We taking garbage removal seriously here, so it's a statutory holiday.

Nope.... not the only one working.

Worked 7-4 serving eggs and the like to people who were (at least the ones that I got) cheap-ass with the tips.

Nothing makes the baby Jesus cry more than when you're stingy with tips on Christmas day.

Happy Merry to all (cover all the bases without offending)

Maybe if you'd been holding mistletoe they would have given you better tips.

Or trenchmouth!

Hmm...

Was wearing a Santa Hat with Cylonesque lights in the front.

So I was freakin' Holly Jolly looking.

Just the luck of the draw that I got the asses. Now, not saying I made no money. Just made a typical Sunday's worth of tips.

But one third of what I made last Christmas Day.

And the Baby Jesus weeps on.
