Last night, my dearly beloved umbrella met its demise at the hands of a fearsome wind. I've had that umbrella for about ten years. It was a dark brown leopard print with a beautiful tortoise shell handle, and it is dead. Woe is me, for my umbrella is dead. Undead undead. Umbrella's dead.
The weather is downright freakish. January is supposed to be the coldest month of the year. In previous years, around this time, the temperature would be hovering around 40 below. And instead, we have a veritable Chinook, with rapidly melting snow, and me walking around in a sweater instead of being bundled up in layer after layer of insulated fabrics.
At this rate, I'll be bikini-clad by March.
I'm trying to make kung fu class again tonight, although I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do. My ankle still hasn't fully recuperated, and I have my doubts that I'd be able to do dragons. So if that's what everyone else is doing, I guess I'll just have to do pushups instead.
My workplace is restructuring, and at first, I was afraid it would mess up my scheduling even more. But instead, this looks like it's a Very Good Thing. I may be able to make it to kung fu AND teach my dance classes on a regular basis. Woohoo!
In other news, I had some vacation time approved.
f00dave and I are now registered for the Midori workshops at Venus Envy in Halifax in May. Now I just need the spiffy leather outfit to go with it. Heh....
