I want to:

  1. Learn to juggle.
  2. Watch I, Claudius.
  3. Learn to use those nunchaku.
  4. Grow my hair down to my arse again.
  5. Play in a Vampire RPG campaign (not LARP!).
  6. Have a yardsale and sell my superfluous junk.
  7. Bake cookies so yummy that the baby Jesus cries.
  8. Get back to my weight training/dance drilling routine.
  9. Organize my mess of a bedroom into something easy on the eyes.
  10. Finish reading all the books on my bookshelves (and the ones on my floor, too).

What do you want to do?

I want to find a fine, fine gentleman worthy of my attention, pull him into my new car and christen it. *evil grin*

One would think. It's a better prospect on paper. ;)

In the short term, I want to smoke a bowl and watch Boston Legal. After that I want to rip any and all CDs in my room that I haven't already onto my computer and maybe work on a mix or 2.

What's Boston Legal? A law tv show? That seems to be the obvious guess.

Yeah. On ABC tuesday nights at 10 EST. One of the smarter shows on television. Still full of silly, gimmicky cliches, but it is remarkably self-aware, referential and snarky. I more or less only watch this show, the Daily Show, and Colbert Report.

Will do! Thanks.

"Bake cookies so yummy that the baby Jesus cries."

I might be able to help you with that part. How do you feel about 28 ounces of chocolate going into one batch of cookies?

Seconded!

I'll let you know if I here of a Vamp RPG not LARP, though I admit I am more likely to hear of LARP, would you prefer Old World of Darkness or New World of Darkness or not really a factor of caring?

Excellent! I'm not familiar with the new WoD, but I have gazillions of books from the old system. I'm certainly willing to give the new one a go, though. I miss playing Vampire....

for this year, just one:

1. Finally get off my ass, pick one of the half-dozen half-baked business ideas i've been dancing with for the better part of a decade, and just fucking make.it.happen.

If you really want to make someone cry, make these.

The best cookies I have ever had. And I mean that in the biblical sense.

Nunchucks

are ridiculously easy. Poi are a LOT harder. The major thing to understand is that you need to hold the stick very near the rope (have your hand no more than two inches away from the rope) rather than near the far end. This is actually counter intuitive, and I tried for years to manipulate them by holding the far end; once my teacher had me hold the near end I was able to do almost everything possible that night, and everything well within the week. I'm not bragging or pretending to be the fastest learner in the world, either, it's just that nunchacku are actually that easy.

They are also possibly the stupidest weapon around, very limited in scope, and a fantastic police magnet. Try whipping them around in the park and see how fast you get to meet some of Canada's Finest.

Just try everything you can do with poi, and you'll get it.

There are a couple of interesting tricks and one other important concept about holding the things. If I can figure out how to e-mail you a thirty second video, I'll make one up and you can see them. Probably early next month.

They are a lot of fun for a couple of weeks, though.
