Body Combat was entertaining, that's for sure. But I felt so very, very silly in the class. The instructor was more macho than all of my previous martial arts instructors put together, and she's a girl! Heh... Throughout the class, she kept making stern expressions while punching, kicking, and yelling "WHOOOO!" like a bikini girl in a Jeep might do. Some of the moves were just plain silly, so I changed them into something more appropriate. And she kept doing this weird little groin thrust thing for no apparent reason. It was disconcerting, but I managed not to giggle. All things considered, it really was a great cardio workout, and my legs are a bit wobbly now.
Of course, I did a weights workout at noon, biked 35 minutes to the gym, kicked and punched and jumped for an hour, then biked 35 minutes home again. I think having slightly wobbly legs is a good sign. I kept up with the frenetic pace of the class with ease, which frankly surprised me. Ever since that asthma attack a while back, I've been paranoid that my cardiosity has suffered. Apparently not. We'll see how ambulatory I feel on the morrow, though.
But there's no rest for me. I'm back at the gym tomorrow for more cardio. If I can't get my regular kung fu classes in, I will most certainly keep myself in shape for when I can return.
But damn, I sure do have a craving for ice cream. I've staved it off somewhat by eating three chocolate cookies. Bad Shan. Bad. The muscles won't come out from hiding this way!

You're already starting to sound just like the group
