Today, I was determined to get as much done on my first stone-setting project as possible. About an hour ago, the back of my red tigers eye crumbled into dust. I figured that was a sign to go home.
The front of the stone still looks ok, but the way I made the setting, the back of the stone is visible. So I could either make do with my not-so-lovely stone, or I could go find another one the exact same size. Argh. At least the soldering went well. That's a bonus.
I also drew another tool in my sketchbook. That's four drawings down, and six to go. It feels like I have to draw one of everything in the metal shop, and it's a big, well-stocked studio. By the end of the year, I just may have done that very thing. Woe is me...
