Once I get everything straightened out and organized, I will be selling:
- sewing patterns (including vintage, period, fancy dress, and dance patterns)
- clothing (including a variety of dance and Indian garb)
- books (this is the scary one. Everything from fiction to nonfiction, hard cover and soft cover. I have a lot of excellent art books which can go, too, as well as a decent collection of Neil Gaiman rarities)
- software (maybe. I have to figure out what I own and what has been lent to me)
- games (boardgames, RPG, card games, etc.)
- tools (most of my metal-working supplies and books. I'm only keeping the stuff
conducive to wire-work and other "cold" work)
- cabochons and facetted gemstones (maybe. I really like them, but honestly, I don't know when I'll ever be able to do stone-setting again)
- art/craft supplies
- unclassifiable weird shit
- comic books and graphic novels (how could I have forgotten these? Sheesh! Mostly "alternative" comics--not so much in the way of superheroes)
I've decided not to try to get part-time work this coming month. Selling off all this stuff will pretty much be a fulltime job.
If you live in the area and know you want some of the stuff I haven't listed yet, come on over and make us an offer. We'll be getting rid of some furniture, and, just before we go, food, too.
The list of stuff we want to take with us is scant, especially considering most of my stuff is already in Ontario.

Date: 2006-05-22 07:13 pm (UTC)From:Once I find the patterns (they're hidden around somewhere), I could certainly have someone go through 'em. It'd save me having to photograph them and write them up.
I still have to go through the games and see what I'm keeping, but I'm pretty sure I'll be getting rid of several White Wolf books.

Date: 2006-05-24 07:17 pm (UTC)From:BD Books & hello
Date: 2006-06-04 12:43 am (UTC)From:This is my first time on LJ in over a month, so I just noticed you were back in the area and selling away the last 15 years of your life. If I read things right, all the bellydace cds, vhss & dvds are gone, but you may have books for sale and these may include some from this genre. Although I realize that this may not be the case because I have a hazy memory of our last visit where you mention packing those and bringing them up to Ont with you. So, if you are selling your Bdance books, please known that I'll buy any one of them that I do not already have. Let me know when you are leaving the province again and I may be able to make a run up to the capital to visit and pick up before then.
:) B

Date: 2006-06-04 02:32 am (UTC)From:All my dance books are back in Kitchener. Those ones I was planning on keeping. Heh...
I think there may be a couple of dance biographies kicking around (more ballet, than anything else). Are you interested in those?
I'll likely be around for most of the month. I'm planning on returning by the beginning of July. It'd be awesome to see you guys again!

Date: 2006-06-04 09:36 pm (UTC)From:Yes, another visit would be most fun! My busy schedule has been slowing down quite a bit lately and I may be able to get a trip up your way before you leave. Both John & I are doing pretty good lately. We are planing to get caught up on what we are individually planning for the next 6 months or so to syncronize and will see if it is in the cards. Is there a better time than not for you to have visitors?
By the way, I spent a bit of time browsing your & Dave's LJs last night after sending out my note. Please know that I was sending both You & Your Hubby Lot's of Love and Strenght when I was reading about your experiences. I just about called between 10:30 & 11pm, but decided to wait until today to connect. Hopefully, I'll turn into a visit and hugs can be given instead of wishes!
