I walked into the art school today to do another modelling stint when I saw a young skinny guy looking at me. "Sifu!" he said. "Sensei!"
With a start, I realized he was talking to me.
After a while, I found out he was a newbie at kung fu a while back. I suppose I look like a grand master to the novices. I let him know that yes, kung fu is still going on, and that there's a seminar coming up this month. Oddly enough, he didn't seem interested in the classes, but does want to go to the seminar.
Modelling was a bit strange today. I was the Pink Panther. I'm modelling for animation students, and they will be working on a Pink Panther project, so I got to assume long, lanky poses, and they based their cartoon art on my nekkid self.
Cartoons are all about naked people, don't you know? So are zombies. One of the artists a few years back always drew me as a mostly-decomposed zombie. I often wielded a weapon in his pictures, too: a battle axe, a chainsaw, or a morning star.
I model again next week. I don't know if I'll be me or an anthropomorphic cat again.
I'm mailing out another batch of CDs/videos tomorrow. I've raised enough money to buy my airfare back to Ontario. Now to keep on selling so I can pay the rent, too. I'll be posting a reprised list cataloguing the leftovers this week. I sold a lot, but there's lots left.
Now, off to kung fu!
