I'm planning on doing more work on one of my dance costumes today and have run into a problem. What is the best way to get wrinkles out of PVC? I obviously can't iron it, and I do not have a steamer. Any suggestions?

Would soaking it in hot water then hanging it to dry help any?

I actually iron my PVC... but!!!
On low.. and put a piece of paper over the iron.

I would normally just press it under lots of heavy books, but that does take some time.

Hrmmm...can you hang it in the bathroom while you take a long hot shower or bath?

That's probably a stupid suggestion...but it has worked with some wonky-fabric-ed dresses that I've had.

Before ironing it, you could try having a really hot shower, and hanging it in the bathroom during and afterwards without the fan on...it might be like steaming it....

Hang it in a hot shower to steam it? That is the only thing I can think of.

I used to shower steam my pvc dresses and it worked fairly well. Sometimes you can wet and blow dry the back side on low to get small wrinkles out. For super kinky folds and wrinkles, I'd lay it flat, face down, place a damp towel on the back/fabricy side and iron on low w/steam through the towel.
