I finally finished my new dance belt--mostly. I'll likely add tassels, but here's what I've done in the meantime.
: Dance belt in the kitchen.
: Detail.
I made the belt with Tempest's Corset Belt Pattern. I used black PVC, paisley silk, green rickrack, cowrie shells, D-ring tape, glass bead trim, wooden bead trim, blue lacing, and green cotton (on reverse). It is almost entirely sewn by hand, as my sewing machine has an active dislike for working with PVC (and leather, but that's another story).
Now I need to finish the top, which has been sitting half-made for quite a long time....
Why am I up so early? No idea. But I was woken up after dreaming about godlike orgone rays, likely inspired by last night's viewing of Orgazmo.
