sarcasm_hime, Khizmet, and Valizan trying out some ATS improvisation. For those of you who are unfamiliar with ATS (American Tribal Style belly dance), it is an improvised group dance. Ergo, there is no choreography. We know what moves to do next by way of signals from the lead dancer (think of Marines giving hand signals during covert operations). It's a hell of a lot of fun, and I'm going to go practice again today.
Yesterday morning, I went to BodyJam where I worked on a few different dance styles: Bollywood, salsa, hiphop, and a wee spot of krumping. I'm amazed at krumping, but man, I sure can't do it (yet!). I must figure out that forward-back chest slide/shimmy. Every time I try to add my arms, it turns into a shoulder shimmy, which is SO not what it ought to look like. I need to channel the aggression of my camo pants for this one, not the girly bedlah of Fifi.
Oh yeah. I live in a guys' dorm, now. My roommates aref00dave, gha5t, and dreamlikedouche, who arrived yesterday. And tonight I'm gaming again. I'm being inundated with boys.
