shanmonster: (On the stairs)
Firstly, last night's dream:

Hadia has opened a dance studio in Kitchener. I stumble upon it serendipitously, and walk in. She has not advertised anywhere that she is in the city. In fact, she seems resentful when I come inside. I ask her if she will be teaching, and she says, yes, she will be teaching a class every two weeks. Almost afraid to ask lest it won't fit into my schedule, I ask when she's teaching, and am excited to hear it is on every other Saturday afternoon. So I sign up for six classes for $50.

Then I wake up and am rather disappointed....

Secondly, last night's game:

Due to a series of unfortunate misunderstandings on his part paired with a timely attack of his particular derangement, Margot's (Margd's) childe Magnus has turned on her. He believes she murdered his girlfriend, is a Tzimisce, is a member of the Sabbat, and is trying to turn him into a member of the Sabbat. He's wrong on all counts, of course.

And now he's gone and reported the murder of his girlfriend (the Prince's most favouritest ghoul) to the Prince, and it would seem there is a bloodhunt upon Margot and her old buddy Malicus (aka Mark aka Auntie Jane).

The kicker is that Magnus is the one who offed the ghoul while in the grips of a nasty bout of post-traumatic stress disorder. It would seem he was reliving a mercy killing he perpetrated back in his early life as a soldier. He has no recollection of this, of course.

So by the time someone with high enough levels of auspex checks out the body and discovers Magnus's dirty little secret, Margot will likely be long-gone (hopefully still alive), and Magnus will be right and utterly pooched. If she's still alive, and if she's really lucky, perhaps the bloodhunt will be called off. Maybe.

In the meantime, Margot once again has to assume a new identity (good ol' Malicus will give her a new body, courtesy of his high levels of vicissitude and body crafting) and say good-bye to her holdings. Good-bye, McMaster University. It was good while it lasted....

Margot hope Magnus makes it, though. He made some foolish decisions and withheld important information from her, but she'd forgive him again and again.

If Margd were an evil character, none of this would have happened, of course. She'd simply have dispatched him and cleaned up the mess, and no one would be the wiser. Silly path of humanity. Silly quest for Golconda. Silly Margd.

It ain't easy, being good.
