shanmonster: (Spasmolytic)
I'm trying to find transportation to Hamilton from Kitchener this Friday, so I can catch a ride with Valizan and company to Tribally Yours in Quebec this weekend. Unfortunately, although Hamilton is only an hour away by car, the bus takes anywhere from 3.5 hours to 4.5 hours to get there. Why? Why? WHY???

There's GOT to be a better way to get there. Any suggestions?

In the meantime, I'm still working out a place to stay while I'm there. Money is tighter than the lid on a sticky bottle of jam, especially since [livejournal.com profile] f00dave has to unexpectedly return to the Miramichi tomorrow to attend his grandmother's funeral.

And now for a couple of links:

Jesus and Hitler: Second Coming: A chick flick/buddy movie. It's so very, very wrong (thanks, Troy).

Homegirls Potato Chips: Completely baffling. Did these really exist (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] gha5t)?

Tenacious D - Master Exploder uncut enhanced audio: His voice is fucking powerful.

Thank you! I was looking at the Greyhound site. I didn't realize there was more than one bus service. This looks MUCH better.

I've worked with enough out-of-town models that I've had to find good options for getting to and from KW :) Greyhound is usually quite decent, but Hamilton and Kitchener have nothing close to a connection with them.

I second this! I used them this summer to go back and forth from K-W and Hamilton, and they were much better than Greyhound.

You should also check out the RideShare on craigslist.org I got a great ride the last time I went to my mom's from London to Toronto.

The D

Great movie. For those that follow the D, it's a fantastic movie. Even if you're not a hardcore fan of the D and have a good sense of humor, you should still enjoy it.

My favorite part, however, is their battle against Beelzeboss near the end of the movie. Has some spoilers, but totally rules. This is the best quality clip of this on YouTube I could find.

Try the bellydancecouchsurf tribe on tribe.net?
I'm not sure I've got it right, but I'm a member, so it's on my tribe profile too. Same "nom de plumes" there, lol.

Oh, I've barged in because [livejournal.com profile] chernobylred pointed out that you're pole-dancing and I only WISH we could have classes here. We've chatted before on other bd lists, I'm sure.
